As of March 2026, roughly 6,500 Paraquat lawsuits were pending in the federal MDL before Chief Judge Nancy Rosenstengel in the Southern District of Illinois. All litigation in the MDL has been paused since March 2026 while the court oversees the setup of a qualified settlement fund, following extended settlement negotiations between the parties. A separate bellwether trial was scheduled for April 2026 in Philadelphia state court, outside the federal MDL.
